Happy 2019! I am finally back after taking a couple weeks off to soak up every minute of the holiday season with friends and family. While I’m feeling refreshed and ready to dive head first into all things 2019, this past year was filled with many fun projects, so before we get too far into the New Year, how about we take a look back at the top 5 blog posts of 2018.
Hallway Table Makeover
The top post of 2018 was this Hallway Table Makeover. I was lucky enough to find this table at a local antique mall and it turned out to be the perfect size for our small hallway. I knew when I bought it that I wanted to paint it a bright, bold color to make a statement, but I had a difficult time choosing the “right” one. Well, I think I chose correctly because this little table has gotten a lot of love here on the blog and on Instagram! Thank you for loving this table just as much as I do!
Small Apartment Bathroom Makeover
The second most viewed post published in 2018 was our Bathroom Makeover. Out of all the projects I’ve done, our bathroom makeover probably had the most dramatic before and after. When we first toured this apartment, the bathroom is what I fell in love with. Some people may find that crazy, but I saw a lot of neutral fixtures that I could work with. Whereas, a lot of the apartments we saw had an outdated, hunk of a vanity, and tile that wasn’t exactly my taste. I knew I could do something with this one, it just needed a little TLC and some elbow grease. I definitely learned some new things while redoing this space and I’m so thrilled that you all loved the transformation.
Storage Closet Turned Office Nook
The third most loved post of 2018 was the reveal of my Office Nook. My little nook was something I never thought would actually come to reality. I never thought there would be an outlet in the closet, turns out there was. Yay! And I certainly had doubts that I could pair down our stuff to only take up half of our only storage closet. But, both of those things happened and today I am writing this front my nook. I truly love this space so much. Even though it’s small, it’s so bright and happy which makes it so fun to come in here every morning and get to work.
Hand Painted Cane Pillow
Have you ever had something in your mind, but you can’t find it anywhere or if you can it costs a million dollars? That was me when it came to finding a cane print fabric. I couldn’t find a single fabric that was pink and within my budget, so I decided to create my own hand painted cane pillow. I’ll admit, I totally screwed up the first one, but no big deal, that just helped me tell you all what not to do lol. I’m so glad you all enjoy a good DIY just as much as I do!
Most Affordable Botanical Prints
Last, but not least, my fifth most viewed post of 2018 was about these Botanical Prints. These prints have been such a great addition to our living room and you simply can’t beat the price, so I just had to share them with you. This whole gallery wall costs less than $50, so if you missed this post when it went live, it’s definitely one to go back and check out!
And finally, I just wanted to thank you. Your constant support of Sincerely, Sweetpea truly means the world to me. I am so thankful for you. 2018 has been a great year, but I have a lot of exciting things planned for 2019!
