Bedroom Refresh Design Board

Bedroom Refresh Design Board
Can you all believe I’m ready to change our room already? I think I must have caught a case of the design bug because I published the post about our bedroom redo at the end of March and I’ve been thinking of making some changes pretty much since the moment I hit “publish”. I think a “normal” person redoes their room about every couple of years, but who’s normal around here? Not me, obviously lol. When I did our original bedroom redo, it was my first ever room reveal and honestly, I just wanted to get it out there. And now, I cringe every time I look at those pictures. You’ve got to start somewhere, right? Anyway, I feel like my style has already evolved so much since March and I’m ready to take another crack at this whole bedroom thing and really get it right this time.

So, shall we start with the dreaded “before” photos?
Our bedding is one thing that I’ve really been struggling with. When I first redid our room, I really really really wanted this duvet cover, but I really didn’t want to pay that much. So, I settled for a $30 white quilt from TJ Maxx. That was a bust. Every night, we were getting our old comforter out of the closet to sleep with because the ole rinky dink quilt wasn’t cutting it. We did that for a while and then I spotted this bedding set at Target. It was cheap, white, and I liked it. But, I didn’t love it. So now, I’m just about $70 in the hole for bedding that I just like. Moral of this story: get what you really want the first time, nothing will ever live up to it!
The gallery wall has changed a little since y’all saw it last. Basically, it’s become a catch all for any framed art I find on sale anywhere, whether it matches or not. Hence the random Oh Joy print. I’m pretty sure this will be the last time you see a gallery wall here. I’m over it. I’m ready for something simple and chic, so stay tuned!
This dresser is actually a pretty new addition to our room. Sadly, I’m not sure what it’s future is. I really would like a place in our bedroom where I could sit down and do my makeup in the morning and this little corner is the only place where theres room for something like that.
To Do
-DIY Bedding
-Get new accent pillows
-Change black accent wall
-Take down gallery wall
-Buy new frames
-Spray paint our bed
-Buy fabric/sew curtains
-Build vanity

-Come up with something for the “purse” wall
I’m so excited for this bedroom refresh and I have some secret DIY’s up my sleeve, so stay tuned!
Have a great Monday!

Thanks so much Amanda! It makes me so happy to know that someone is actually reading this thing and enjoying it. I try to keep things affordable as my husband and I are just starting out, but as you probably know when you find something you absolutely love, you have to splurge a little.

For many a bedroom is a place that is theirs alone and has to reflect their sense of who they are.
